One Street and Grappenhall Heys

 Sunday rush hour.

 Ducks at Grappenhall Heys.

 Bike, boat and bridge.

Stop planks at Stockton Heath. There have been three serious breaches of the canal over the years. As there are no locks a series of cranes and stop boards are strategically placed along the canal so that sections can be isolated.

Going home after a hard day's booze cruising.

Saturday one One Street

Turning at the winding hole at Stockton Heath. Winding holes were strategically placed on the banks opposite the towpath to allow narrow boats to turn around. There were warehouses and boatyards at Stockton Heath which is why there would be one at this location.

Another few shots from my favourite stretch of One Street.
Being towed home.

Runners and rowers in aid of East Cheshire hospice.
The swimming spaniel. His owner told me that he regularly swam as far as London Road bridge a distance of over half a mile.
